In another collaboration with This Old House®, Graceke Design managed the interior renovation of this 1949 classic shingled ranch home in Westerly, Rhode Island. The home was transformed into a Dutch Colonial with a second floor and 1,000 square feet of additional space, with plenty of modern amenities for a young family.

A bump out in the back of the house increases the size of the kitchen and dining room, enables an open floorplan, and invites in loads of natural light. Flowing spaces are now unified by a coffered ceiling.  Furniture with contemporary lines in neutral tone is balanced with pops of color  – like a beautiful coastal blue kitchen island and bright all-weather fabric in the mudroom.  A new master suite, two children’s bedrooms, a guest bedroom/ playroom, home office and laundry room were added to meet the needs of family life.
